At exactly 12:00 noon today, we visited the proposed mini stadium site in Bansang, and the visit was both fruitful and inspiring. Present at this important occasion were the Regional President of the Central River Region Football Association, the Third Vice President of the Gambia Football Federation, their representative consultant, and the Federation’s engineering team.
This project, which has been in motion since 2019, is now gaining new life and serious attention under the strong leadership of the Gambia Football Federation. Their commitment, dedication, and tireless efforts to ensure that football grows across every corner of The Gambia cannot go unnoticed. The Federation is determined to see this project succeed, and their leadership continues to demonstrate that they stand firmly with the people of Central River Region.
This mini stadium is not for individuals it is for the entire Central River Region, and indeed for all football lovers across the country. It will be a game-changer for football in CRR, uplifting our young talents, strengthening community unity, and giving our region the chance to finally enjoy the same level of football infrastructure that others have benefited from in the past.
Under the leadership of the new CRR Football Association executive, and with the full support of the GFF, we are more hopeful than ever that this dream will soon become a reality. This project belongs to all of us, and together we can make it happen.
Therefore, I call on every football lover, every stakeholder, and the entire CRR community to join hands, support this vision, and pray for its speedy realization. With unity, support, and the strong backing of the Gambia Football Federation, the Central River Region will rise to a new level in football development.
This is not just a project it is a legacy for our region, and history will remember the leadership that made it possible.
